“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:13-14 WEB

Yesterday, we focused on Learning is for Life. Today, let’s tackle Self-Improvement – an essential discipline for 2026. Why? Because like Paul, we press on toward the goal.

Self-improvement is about making conscious efforts to outdo your past. It’s time to level up! Acquire new skills (like Paul, a tentmaker – Acts 18:3 WEB), launch new businesses (like Joseph in Egypt – Genesis 41:41-43 WEB), nurture new relationships (like Jesus with His disciples – Mark 3:13-14 WEB), start new ministry endeavours (like Philip in Samaria – Acts 8:5 WEB), or take new courses to improve yourself.

But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. – 2 Corinthians 3:18 WEB. We move from one level of glory to another!

In 2026, let’s commit to Self-Improvement – letting God’s Spirit transform us. Assess areas for growth, and step into God’s plan for you.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me reflect Your glory and grow like Jesus in 2026. Guide me in self-improvement. Amen.
