Grand Durbar Lights Ho Asogli Te Za 2026 Celebrations

The grand occasion was graced by distinguished personalities, including Hon. Kwame Governs Agbodza, Minister for Roads and Highways and Member of Parliament for Adaklu; Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts and Member of Parliament for Ketu South; Hon. James Gunu, Volta Regional Minister; Hon. Edem Kofi Kpotosu, Member of Parliament for Ho Central; and Dr Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff at the Presidency, who represented His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana.
Beyond the grandeur of Asogli culture, the occasion reflected the beauty of cultural unity in Ghana. Traditional rulers and communities from across the country, including the Kotokoli Chief from the Oti Region, a traditional ruler from Tamale, members of the Muslim community and representatives of other cultural groups, joined the people of Asogli in celebrating tradition, peace and national unity.
Asogli Te Za 2026 — a celebration of heritage, cultural unity, a people united and a culture proudly alive. The six-week festival which started with cleansing rites, hailing of new yam and community engagements was formally closed with this historic durbar attended by ministers of state, chiefs, diplomats and thousands of citizens.
