Ho Central MP Urges Peace and Unity
The Member of Parliament for Ho Central, Hon. Richmon Edem Kofi Kpotosu, has appealed to residents and citizens of Ho and its environs to maintain peace, unity, and harmony, emphasizing that these values are crucial for the municipality’s collective development. Kpotosu stressed that Ho, known as the Oxygen City of Ghana, cannot thrive in an atmosphere of chaos and disturbances.
In a statement, Kpotosu called on chiefs, religious leaders, youth groups, opinion leaders, market women, and all stakeholders to remain law-abiding and work together to promote tolerance, dialogue, and mutual respect. He emphasized that the municipality’s diversity should be a strength, not a source of division.
Kpotosu highlighted the importance of focusing on poverty reduction, creating opportunities for young people, and supporting initiatives that accelerate growth and development in the communities. He urged residents to eschew actions that could derail the progress and unity of the Oxygen City.
The MP’s appeal comes as Ho has been recognized as one of the most peaceful municipalities in Ghana, and he expressed his commitment to preserving this reputation. Kpotosu assured residents that he remains dedicated to working with all stakeholders to ensure sustained peace, stability, and accelerated development in Ho Central and its surrounding communities.
