Faith Unfeigned
“When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy
grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.” — 2 Timothy
1:5 KJV
Faith unfeigned is faith without pretense. It is not faith for show, not faith because others are
watching. It is real faith that lives in your heart when no one is looking. Many have a form of faith,
but God is looking for faith that is genuine. Unfeigned faith does not change with the crowd; it
stands firm in secret and in public.
Unfeigned faith is sincere and consistent. It does not say one thing and live another. “Let love be
without dissimulation” — Romans 12:9 KJV, and so is faith. When your faith is unfeigned, your
yes is yes and your no is no. You trust God in the storm the same way you trust Him on the
mountain. You do not borrow faith from people; your faith comes from your own walk with God.
This kind of faith is passed down and proven by life. Timothy’s faith was not new; it first dwelt in
Lois and Eunice. That is how unfeigned faith works. It is seen in the home, taught by example, and
caught by living. People may doubt your words, but they cannot deny a life that truly trusts God.
Your children, your friends, your world will believe God when they see your faith working without
hypocrisy.
Unfeigned faith endures. It does not fall when trouble comes, because it is rooted, not painted.
Trials will test faith, but unfeigned faith stands and says, “Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him.”
That is the faith God honors. Today, let God search your heart. Let your faith be real, deep, and
unfeigned.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your faithfulness. Purge every presence from my heart and give me faith
unfeigned. Let my trust in You be real in secret and in public. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
