MASLOC Wins Regional Minister’s Praise for Outreach Efforts
The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has lauded MASLOC for its initiative to educate market women on accessing loans and the importance of repayment. This effort is seen as a significant boost to Ghana’s 24-hour economy policy, aimed at stimulating economic growth ¹.
MASLOC CEO Abigail Yaa Mensah led a team on a familiarisation tour of the Volta Region, meeting with market women and stakeholders to sensitise them on the loan scheme. Hon. Gunu commended the initiative, noting that ongoing efforts to sanitise MASLOC will restore confidence and improve delivery.
The Regional Manager of MASLOC, Mawunyo Agbe, expressed appreciation to the Volta Regional Minister for welcoming them to his office and assured that MASLOC will soon roll out products, including loans, to boost the informal sector and the local economy.
MASLOC has already disbursed flexible loans totaling GH¢635,900.00 to 2,035 women in the Volta Region, predominantly traders, to empower them to expand their businesses and relieve poverty-related issues.
