MP Edem Kpotosu Boosts Local Football Team

Edem Kofi Kpotosu, Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency, has donated a set of football jerseys to a Third Division team from Hoe, Ho Central Constituency, as a token of appreciation for the youth’s efforts in advancing football in the area. This gesture is part of Kpotosu’s ongoing commitment to supporting local sports development.
According to Kpotosu, the donation is aimed at motivating the team and encouraging their continued passion for the sport. “This act is a demonstration of my appreciation for the tireless efforts of our youth in advancing football in the area,” he said.
The MP’s office has been actively involved in various initiatives to promote sports development in the constituency. In May 2025, Kpotosu presented tracksuits, jerseys, and toiletries worth GH¢30,000 to the municipal sports contingent, boosting their morale for the 54th Volta Region Inter-District Basic Schools Sports Festival {{IE_0}}¹{{/IE_0}}.
The donation has been welcomed by the local community, with Freeman Azumah, Ho Municipal Physical Education Coordinator, thanking Kpotosu for the timely and appropriate gesture. “There is no point going for the sports festival without the appropriate kits for the event,” Azumah said.
Kpotosu’s efforts to promote sports development in Ho Central Constituency are part of his broader vision to empower the youth and promote economic growth in the area. He has also initiated various programs to support education, healthcare, and agriculture in the constituency.
The MP’s donation is expected to inspire more young people to take up football and pursue their dreams in the sport. As Kpotosu noted, “It is my sincere hope that this gesture will serve as a catalyst for their continued passion and commitment to the sport.”
