Peller, Jarvis Tie the Knot in Colourful Style

Nigerian content creators Hamzat Habeeb Adelaja, popularly known as Peller, and Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, known as Jarvis, have officially sealed their union with a colourful traditional wedding ceremony held in Lekki, Lagos State. The ceremony, held on Saturday, August 1, brought together family members, close friends, fellow content creators and other notable personalities as the couple exchanged traditional marriage rites in a celebration marked by cultural display, music and festivity.

The newlyweds later shared photographs from the ceremony on social media, showcasing their elegant traditional Benin attire while expressing gratitude as they embarked on a new chapter together. “Today, we become one. Two tribes, one love. Two families, one forever. A new chapter begins, and forever starts now,” they wrote in a joint message accompanying the images. The traditional wedding marks the latest milestone in a relationship that has captivated millions of followers across social media over recent months.

On the eve of their wedding, the couple posted their final pre-wedding photographs, telling fans they had stopped counting down because they were “starting forever,” further heightening anticipation ahead of the ceremony. Ahead of the wedding, Peller also disclosed during a livestream that the couple intends to spend their honeymoon across eight different countries.

Their journey to marriage began in June, 2026 when Peller proposed to Jarvis during an intimate beachside ceremony at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Ghana. Jarvis accepted the proposal in an emotional moment that quickly went viral online. Just a week later, Peller travelled to Jarvis’ hometown in Benin City, where he officially paid her bride price during a traditional introduction ceremony, describing the occasion as the beginning of their lifelong journey together.

Following the successful family rites, the couple announced that their wedding would take place on August 1, 2026, and subsequently shared behind-the-scenes moments from their wedding-themed video production, delighting fans with playful interactions that reflected their lively personalities. Before Saturday’s traditional ceremony, the pair legally formalized their marriage during a civil wedding on Wednesday, July 29. The court ceremony was attended by relatives, close associates and media personality Daddy Freeze.

One of the memorable moments from the civil ceremony came when Peller reacted humorously as the marriage registrar explained that bigamy is a criminal offence punishable by a minimum five-year prison sentence without the option of a fine, drawing laughter from those present. In preparation for married life, Peller also revealed that he underwent private traditional pre-marital counselling in Ikorodu, saying he wanted to learn how to become a more responsible husband and better care for Jarvis.

With both their legal and traditional ceremonies now completed, the couple have officially begun married life, bringing to a close months of celebrations and public anticipation surrounding one of Nigeria’s most talked-about social media unions.
