Edem To Host Volta Tour Opener For Revealed Campaign

Ghanaian artiste Edem is set to host the Volta Region tour opener as Revealed: The New Era launches its nationwide Know Your Regions campaign. The award-winning rapper from Volta Region will headline the opening event in Ho, marking the beginning of a national cultural education drive aimed at promoting regional identity and tourism.

The Know Your Regions campaign by Revealed: The New Era seeks to educate Ghanaians, especially the youth, about the history, culture, festivals, food and economic potential of all 16 regions of Ghana. Organizers say the initiative will combine music, storytelling, fashion and documentary screenings to make regional education entertaining and relatable.

Edem, known for his deep connection to Volta culture and his advocacy for Ewe language and heritage, was chosen as the perfect host for the Volta Region opener. The event is expected to attract chiefs, students, creatives and tourism stakeholders from across Volta and Oti regions, with performances, cultural exhibitions and interactive sessions on Volta’s rich traditions.

According to the organizers, the Volta Region opener will feature a tour of key historical sites, including the Volta Regional Museum, Tafi Atome Monkey Sanctuary and Wli Falls, alongside panel discussions on investment opportunities in the region. The campaign will then move to other regions in the coming weeks, with regional ambassadors leading each leg.

Fans in Ho have expressed excitement about Edem’s selection, describing him as a true cultural ambassador who has consistently projected Volta Region to the world through music. The campaign is expected to boost domestic tourism and create awareness about lesser-known attractions in Ghana’s regions.

Revealed: The New Era says the Know Your Regions campaign is part of efforts to strengthen national unity and pride by encouraging Ghanaians to know their country beyond Accra. The nationwide tour will be documented and aired as a series across social media and partner TV stations.
