Abiding In Christ
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.” — John 15:4 ESV
Fruit does not come from striving. It comes from staying. Abiding is daily nearness. It is praying before you plan. It is choosing His presence over performance. It is drawing life from the Vine so your life actually works. Without Him, effort wears you out. With Him, grace carries you through.
The promise is clear: “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you” — John 15:7 ESV. When His Word lives in you, your prayers align with His will. Your desires are shaped. Your steps are ordered. Branches do not panic about fruit. They focus on the Vine.
Stay close in worship. Stay close in obedience. Stay close in quiet. Let His life flow into you, and watch Him produce what you could never force. This is the secret of a steady walk. You do not chase results. You remain in Christ. And He takes care of the rest.
Prayer:
Jesus, I choose to abide. Keep me near You today. Let Your life flow through me, and let Your Word shape my heart. Apart from You I can do nothing, but in You I will bear fruit. Amen.
