
Deputy Minister for Finance Thomas Nyarko Ampem has articulated government’s strategic roadmap for consolidating economic stability and engineering resilient growth pillars capable of withstanding global shocks over the next decade.
Speaking at the twenty twenty six Business Roundtable Extended organized by Ishmael Yamson and Associates, the deputy minister underscored the imperative of translating recent macroeconomic corrections into sustained structural transformation anchored on fiscal discipline and private sector dynamism.
According to the Ministry of Finance, Ampem highlighted ongoing reforms aimed at enhancing revenue mobilization, optimizing public expenditure, and deepening financial intermediation to catalyze industrial expansion. He noted that Ghana’s economic rebound requires deliberate investment in productive sectors, innovation, and human capital development.
The forum, convened under the theme After the Corrections Building Resilient Economic Pillars for the Next Decade, assembled policymakers, corporate executives, investors, and development partners to interrogate Ghana’s economic trajectory and chart a path toward durable prosperity. Discussions focused on macroeconomic stability, energy security, and competitiveness within the African Continental Free Trade Area.
Participants expressed optimism that coordinated policy implementation and sustained stakeholder dialogue would reinforce investor confidence and unlock sustainable opportunities, positioning Ghana as a resilient frontier economy in the face of evolving global uncertainties.
