Police Probe Two Deaths at Tamale Hotel
Two women have been found dead in a hotel room in Tamale, triggering an intensive police investigation and the deployment of a special investigative team by the Inspector-General of Police. The incident occurred at Cab Hospitality Hotel in the Gbewa Residential Area and has prompted heightened scrutiny from regional security authorities.
According to a Press Statement dated August by DCOP Wisdom Lavoe, Northern Regional Commander, law enforcement officers responded to the scene and immediately commenced forensic and procedural inquiries. The IGP has dispatched a specialized unit to augment local detectives in establishing the sequence of events and determining the cause of death.
Investigators are also collating witness statements, reviewing hotel registry logs, and examining CCTV footage to reconstruct the circumstances leading to the incident. At this stage, no arrests have been announced.
The deployment of a special team underscores the gravity with which the Police Service is treating the case.
