Incumbent Volta Regional Women Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Delphia Fafa Agbai, is seeking re-election, touting a proven record of empowerment and grassroots mobilization that powered the party’s victory in 2024.

Speaking to the media after successfully going through vetting, Madam Agbai said her stewardship has been defined by direct investment in women across all constituencies in the Volta Region.

“I visited every constituency and organised women for victory in 2024. I’ve done this twice. This is my third time,” she stated, referencing her consistent field work.

As incumbent, Madam Agbai revealed that she distributed sewing machines across all constituencies to economically empower women, and during the 2024 general elections, she was very resourceful in supplying souvenirs to all women — a strategic intervention she says contributed to the NDC’s landslide victory in its stronghold.

She further recounted her broader charitable works: donations to the Kpando Prisons, fertilizer distribution through women organizers, food distribution from 2013 to 2019 in Aveyime and Gbi, supporting three individuals to undergo critical medical operations, and resourcing chiefs and assembly members for mobilization.

“I do not discriminate. I believe in fair treatment for both young and old,” she affirmed, pledging to deepen her empowerment agenda if re-elected.

💬 Howedey Insight: As incumbent seeking re-election, Delphia Fafa Agbai is banking on a practical empowerment model — from sewing machines to campaign logistics — to convince delegates she remains the best bet for women’s mobilization ahead of 2028.
