New Awafiaga of Agave State Crowned
In a grand ceremony, Torgbui Avornorkadzi VII was enstooled as the Awafiaga of Agave State on March 8, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the traditional leadership of the region. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including James Gunu, Volta Regional representative, National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and other notable figures.

Gunu, who attended the event, congratulated the new chief and urged unity between traditional authorities and government to drive development.
