New Awafiaga of Agave State Crowned

 

In a grand ceremony, Torgbui Avornorkadzi VII was enstooled as the Awafiaga of Agave State on March 8, 2026, marking a significant milestone in the traditional leadership of the region. The event was attended by prominent dignitaries, including James Gunu, Volta Regional representative, National Chairman of the NDC, Hon. Johnson Asiedu Nketia, and other notable figures.

 

According to #JamesGunu, the ceremony was a testament to the rich cultural heritage of Agave State, featuring traditional rites and vibrant cultural displays. Gunu, who attended the event, congratulated the new chief and urged unity between traditional authorities and government to drive development.

 

The enstoolment ceremony brought together key stakeholders, including MP for South Tongu, Hon. Maxwell Lukutor, and DCE for South Tongu, Hon. Victoria Dzeklo, highlighting the importance of collaboration between traditional leaders and government. Gunu made a cash donation and presented items to support the celebration, emphasizing the need for collective efforts to promote progress.

 

In his remarks, Gunu wished Torgbui Avornorkadzi VII a successful and impactful reign, stressing the crucial role traditional leaders play in fostering community development. The new Awafiaga is expected to build on the legacy of his predecessors, promoting peace and prosperity in Agave State.

 

The event showcased the significance of traditional leadership in Ghana, with attendees emphasizing the need for unity and cooperation to address pressing issues facing the region.
