Propellant Faith

“For God gave us not a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” – 2 Timothy 1:7 WEB

Faith is a propellant that drives us forward, empowering us to move beyond limitations and obstacles. Like a rocket propelled into space, faith launches us into new realms of possibility, helping us achieve what seems impossible. A rocket needs fuel to blast off and overcome gravity; similarly, faith is the fuel that ignites our passion for God and propels us into action.

Faith propelled David to charge on Golliath: “Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give thine carcase and the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” – 1 Samuel 17:45-46 WEB. David’s faith drove him to face Goliath boldly.

Like Peter, who stepped out of the boat and walked on water by faith – “And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” (Matthew 14:29 WEB), propellant faith moves us to trust God in impossible situations. The word “work” here means faith is operative, producing actions and results.

Let’s cultivate a propellant faith that moves mountains, breaks barriers, and advances God’s kingdom.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, ignite a propellant faith in me, driving me to trust You for the impossible and pursue Your purposes with passion. Amen.
