Ghana Condemns Circulation of Intimate Videos

The Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection has issued a statement condemning the alleged non-consensual recording and circulation of intimate videos by a Russian national. According to 3News GH, the ministry has confirmed that the suspect has left Ghana but is collaborating with international partners to ensure justice is served.

The ministry’s statement emphasized the seriousness of the issue, highlighting the need to protect individuals’ privacy and dignity. “The Ministry is deeply concerned about the alleged actions and condemns them in the strongest terms,” the statement read.

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with many calling for swift action against the perpetrator. The ministry assured the public that it is working closely with law enforcement agencies and international partners to track down the suspect and bring them to justice.

This is not the first time Ghana has dealt with cases of non-consensual sharing of intimate images, and the ministry is using this opportunity to remind citizens of the importance of respecting individuals’ privacy and consent.

The Ghana Police Service has also issued a statement urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward and assist with investigations.
