Eschewing Hype

“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other

better than themselves.” – Philippians 2:3 WEB

Yesterday, we focused on Be Light to Lift. Today, let’s tackle Eschewing Hype – an essential

discipline for 2026.

Eschewing Hype means choosing truth over falsehood and holiness over hype. We’re not

interested in popularity or power, we choose obedience over disobedience. Jesus said true worshippers worship “in spirit and in truth” (John 4:23 WEB) – let’s be authentic. We’ll not be

blessed by half measures and half truths. God’s truth isn’t a buffer where we pick and choose what we like, edit, add, or spice up. As scripture warns, let’s avoid vainglory (Philippians 2:3 WEB).

Holiness is the expression of God’s character in our lives. It isn’t outdated – it pays and gives you peace and joy. Let’s choose humility and authenticity over hype.

In 2026, ask God to help you keep it real and avoid hype. Let’s shine with authenticity!

Prayer

Heavenly Father, help me eschew hype and choose truth in 2026. Let me worship You in spirit and

truth. Give me peace and joy in holiness. Amen.
