Shatta Wale Storms Ho With ShattaFest
Volta Region is set for a historic night as Ghana self titled Dancehall King Shatta Wale officially joins forces with MoMo Fest 2026 to bring his electrifying ShattaFest straight to the capital city of the Volta Region on Saturday October 3 2026 at Ho Sports Stadium at 6 PM GMT.
Organizers of MoMo Fest 2026 confirmed the partnership this weekend, describing it as one of the biggest entertainment events the region has seen in years. The event is expected to draw thousands of music lovers from across Volta, Greater Accra and neighboring Togo, with high energy performances, massive stage production and surprise guest appearances.
According to the team, ShattaFest at Ho Sports Stadium will not be just another concert but a full festival experience blending Shatta Wale signature dancehall catalogue with MoMo Fest digital inclusion drive. Fans should expect hits from On God, My Level to Killa Ji Mi and new anthems, plus live band and DJ sets running late into the night.
Shatta Wale born Charles Nii Armah Mensah Jr, remains one of Africa most decorated dancehall artistes with multiple Ghana Music Awards and international collaborations. His ShattaFest concept, launched in Accra, has consistently filled major venues and this Volta edition marks a strategic move to decentralize big entertainment from Accra and Kumasi.
This is an evergreen tourism boost for Ho, where events of this scale drive hotel bookings, transport and small business sales. Ho Sports Stadium, commissioned as a 5000 seater multi purpose facility, has hosted national games and political rallies, but a headline Shatta Wale show will test its entertainment capacity under Ghana Entertainment and Tourism Authority safety guidelines.
MoMo Fest 2026, powered by MTN Ghana Mobile Money, celebrates financial inclusion and youth entrepreneurship.
