A Liberal Spirit

“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” —
Proverbs 11:25 KJV

Filtered by fire, you do not become hard, you become liberal. A liberal spirit is not political, it is
prophetic. It is a spirit that is open-handed, wide-hearted, and large-souled. God sets you apart on purpose not to make you stingy, but to make you a stream. “Give, and it shall be given unto
you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into
your bosom” — Luke 6:38 KJV.A liberal spirit is the proof that you have been filled. Empty people
clutch, filled people pour. Thick love gives. Top layer life releases. Glossolalia edifies you so you
can edify others. Prophetic breakthrough blesses you so you can bless others. “There is that
scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to
poverty” — Proverbs 11:24 KJV.

Liberal is how rich people live. Not rich in money alone, but rich in grace, rich in forgiveness, rich
in honor, rich in generosity. You water others even when you are in fire, because you know rivers
live inside you. “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow
rivers of living water” — John 7:38 KJV.

God loves a liberal spirit because God is a liberal God. He gave His Son. He gives the Spirit without
measure. He gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater. “Every man according as he
purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful
giver” — 2 Corinthians 9:7 KJV. Your giving is your glowing.We live liberal by the Spirit. “But the
fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness,
temperance” — Galatians 5:22-23 KJV. When you are filled with the Holy Spirit, He enlarges your
heart. He makes you fat in love, fat in good works, fat in glory. You cannot be filled with the Spirit
and stay tight-fisted. You become liberal.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your liberal love toward me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and enlarge my
heart. Make me liberal in love, liberal in giving, liberal in forgiving. Let my life water others and
let my overflow bring You glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
