Road traffic crashes remain a perennial public health challenge, with speeding and signal disregard constituting leading causative factors. The introduction of Traffitech aligns with global best practice where intelligent transport systems supplement physical policing, improve deterrence and generate data for urban mobility planning and crash analytics.
As the test window opens, authorities urge motorists to adhere to posted limits, maintain valid documentation and respect traffic signals, noting that full enforcement will follow public education. The transition promises enhanced transparency and accountability in traffic management while signalling Ghana’s commitment to digital governance in law enforcement operations.
