Fatal Crash Claims Life in Dzolo Kpuita

 

 

A tragic accident at a filling station in Dzolo Kpuita on Saturday, 28th February, 2026, a town in the Ho West Constituency, has claimed the life of Raymond Bani, a motorbike rider, while his brother, Richmond Amenyo, is fighting for his life at the Ho Teaching Hospital’s Emergency Unit. The motorbike collided with a Mercedes Benz Springer Bus, causing fatal injuries to Bani.

 

According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred when the motorbike rider attempted to overtake the bus, resulting in a head-on collision. The impact was so severe that Bani died instantly, while his brother was rushed to the hospital in a critical condition.

 

The deceased, Raymond Bani, is a native of Akorme Gborta, leaving behind a grieving family and community. The incident has sent shockwaves through the local community, with many calling for increased road safety measures to prevent such tragedies.

 

The Ho Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into the accident, with the bus driver currently in custody to assist with investigations. The police have urged drivers to exercise caution on the roads, especially during peak hours.

 

The hospital is providing medical attention to Richmond Amenyo, who is currently in a coma. The community is rallying around the family of the deceased, providing support and condolences.
