Ex-Husband Arrested in Ohio Dentist Couple’s Murder

Michael David McKee, the ex-husband of Monique Tepe, has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder in connection with the killings of Monique and her husband Spencer Tepe, a respected dentist, in their Ohio home. The couple was found dead with gunshot wounds on December 30, leaving behind their two young children, who were unharmed.
According to Columbus police, McKee, 39, was arrested in Rockford, Illinois, and is being held in the Winnebago County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday for a hearing. The police investigation revealed that McKee’s vehicle was seen arriving in the neighborhood shortly before the murders and leaving afterwards, leading authorities to identify him as the suspect.
The couple’s family released a statement expressing their heartbreak and gratitude for the community’s support. “Monique and Spencer remain at the center of our hearts, and we carry forward their love as we surround and protect the two children they leave behind,” the statement read.
Spencer Tepe, 37, and Monique Tepe, 39, were found dead in their home on December 30, with their 4-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son crying but unharmed. The police investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
The motive behind the killings is still unclear, but police have released surveillance footage showing a person of interest walking near the couple’s home around the time of the murders. McKee and Monique were married in 2015 and divorced in 2017.
