Mahama Approval Drops From 71% To 65% – Poll
President John Dramani Mahama’s approval rating has dropped from 71% to 65% according to the latest Global InfoAnalytics poll. The poll was released in Accra on September 24, 2026.
The survey shows a 6-point decline in presidential approval compared to the previous quarter. Global InfoAnalytics said the drop reflects public concerns about cost of living, jobs and utility tariffs.
According to Global InfoAnalytics, the poll was conducted nationwide with a representative sample of voters across all 16 regions. Respondents were asked about presidential performance, economic direction and trust in government.
The approval rating still shows majority support at 65% but signals early pressure on the Mahama administration. Analysts say expectations remain high after the 2024 elections, with voters demanding quick relief on transport fares and food prices.
Global InfoAnalytics is one of Ghana’s leading independent polling firms known for tracking presidential approval, voter intentions and economic confidence. Its methodology combines face-to-face and phone interviews with margin of error around 3%.
The poll also assessed direction of the country, with mixed views on whether Ghana is on the right track. The government says it is focused on stabilizing the cedi, taming inflation and rolling out job creation programmes in the coming months.
