In a press release dated Friday, 23 October 2026, Mr Stanley said the willingness of many comrades to contest demonstrates the depth of talent and experience within the great party, and that the contest should strengthen not divide the NDC.
He said there should be no permanent losers or winners in a common battle of ideas, urging all sides that whoever emerges victorious, let us rally behind that person and move the party forward. He encouraged delegates to vote for candidates who will carry them along, provide sound guidance, respond to their concerns and value their contributions.
“As the Volta Regional Secretary, I will work with our Regional Chairman, Mr Mawutor Agbavitor, to help constituencies draw on this wealth of knowledge and experience,” he said. His vision, he added, is to make experienced party hands active partners in reconciliation, constituency guidance and regional party activities, not sidelined voices.
Mr Stanley, who is #4 on the ballot under the slogan “LOYAL • COMMITTED • READY TO SERVE”, appealed to comrades who emerge victorious to support his candidature as Volta Regional Secretary, promising to provide coordination and support so constituency concerns are heard at regional and national decision-making tables. “Let us compete with respect, conclude this election in unity, and return to the work that matters most: rebuilding our structures, ending voter apathy and winning together in 2028 and beyond,” he concluded.
