Thick Love

“Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it.” — Song of Solomon 8:7
KJV

God’s love for you is not thin, it is thick. Thin love fades when tested. Thick love stands when
shaken. You are set apart on purpose because you are loved on purpose — with a love that is
deep, wide, and unquenchable. “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us” — Romans 5:8 KJV.

Thick love does not keep record of wrongs, it keeps you when you are wrong. It does not love you
because you are perfect, it loves you to make you whole. This is the love that reckons your worth
when you forget it. This is the love that makes your essence unshaken. “Yea, I have loved thee
with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee” — Jeremiah 31:3 KJV.
Everlasting means never thin, never occasional, never conditional.

We live thin when we drink from the wrong wells — approval, performance, people’s opinions.
But thick love comes from staying aglow with the One whose love never runs dry. Authentic love,
emotional grounding, quiet resilience — they all grow from knowing you are thickly loved. “We
love him, because he first loved us” — 1 John 4:19 KJV. When you know you are loved thickly, you
can love others thickly too.Thick love forgives quickly, gives generously, and stays faithfully. It is
not mushy, it is mighty. It keeps no score, but it keeps covenant.

We love thick by the Spirit. “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed
abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” — Romans 5:5 KJV. When you are
filled with the Holy Spirit, He pours thick love into your heart until it overflows to everyone around
you.

Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your thick, everlasting love for me. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and let Your
love be shed abroad in my heart. Teach me to rest in Your thick love and to love others with the
same strength, depth, and grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
