The photos, shared by a social media activist, show Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia and Hajia Mariama Bawumia, highlighting the humble beginnings of the NPP flagbearer.
According to OMG, Dr. Bawumia’s father, Alhaji Mumuni Bawumia, was a respected politician and lawyer who served as chairman of the Council of State under former President Jerry John Rawlings. His mother, Hajia Mariama Bawumia, was also involved in politics, serving as an NDC constituency women’s organizer.
