Regional Ministers Pledge Accountability in Performance Contracts

 

 

Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has emphasized the importance of accountability and results in the implementation of performance contracts for Regional Coordinating Councils. Speaking at the Validation and Signing of Performance Contracts in Kumasi on January 27, 2026, Gunu stressed that the contracts are a solemn commitment to service and delivery, aligning with President John Dramani Mahama’s resetting agenda {{IE_0}}ยน{{/IE_0}}.

 

According to Gunu, implementation of the contracts is not optional, and regional ministers are fully committed to delivering for their regions and the nation. He made this statement as the Dean of Regional Ministers, alongside the Chief Director of the Volta Regional Coordinating Council, Alhaji Mohammed Avona Akape.

 

The performance contracts are part of efforts to enhance accountability and service delivery in local governance. The Local Government Service organized the event to promote transparency and results-oriented leadership.

 

Gunu’s remarks underscore the government’s focus on effective governance and development. The performance contracts are expected to drive progress in key areas, including economic growth, infrastructure development, and social services.
