Unshakable In The Storm
“And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell… But everyone who hears these words of mine and does them is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” — Matthew 7:26-27, 24 ESV
A true Christian life is not a life without storms. Storms are part of the process, our formation process. Storms have a voice. Rain will test your roof. Winds will test your walls. But a tried and tested life is a life that has endured and stood the test of time. It is a life that cannot be shaken in them.
To be unshakable is to be Spirit-filled and Word-rooted. It is worship when the forecast is dark. It is declaring God’s Word when the wind is loud. It is refusing to negotiate with fear because your foundation is Jesus.
The foolish build on feelings. The wise build on obedience. When the flood comes, one house falls, the other stands taller. That is the power of a tethered, Spirit-led life. You do not run from the rain. You rise above it, because The Greater One lives inside you.
Build today. Pray today. Obey today. Let this July find you unmoved, unbroken, and unshakable.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, make me unshakable. Anchor my life on the Rock, Jesus. When storms blow, let faith speak louder than fear. I will build, I will stand, and I will not fall. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
