Resetting Agenda Takes Shape in Ketu North

The Volta Regional Minister, James Gunu, has cut the sod for the construction of major infrastructure projects at Afife Senior High Technical School, a clear demonstration of the government’s commitment to improving education in the region. The projects, which include a girls’ dormitory block, a boys’ dormitory block, an administration/library block, and a toilet facility, are expected to transform the school’s landscape.

According to the Minister, the school, established in 1994, has been one of the least resourced in the area, despite being absorbed by the government in 2003. The projects are part of the government’s Resetting Agenda, aimed at improving infrastructure and services in the region.

The Member of Parliament for Ketu North, Hon. Eric Edem Agbana, expressed his support for the projects, saying they would go a long way in improving the school’s facilities. The MP for Ho West and Board Chairman of GETFund, Hon. Emmanuel Kwasi Bedzrah, also pledged his commitment to ensuring the projects are completed on time.

The construction of the infrastructure projects is expected to improve the learning environment for students and provide them with better facilities. The Minister assured contractors of payment upon completion of work and emphasized the need for strict supervision and accountability to ensure quality delivery.

The projects are expected to be completed soon, and the school is expected to benefit greatly from the improved infrastructure. The community has welcomed the development, saying it will go a long way in improving education in the area.

The Resetting Agenda has been a key focus of the government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and services in the region.
