MP Edem Kofi Kpotosu Pledges Inclusive Development in Ho Central

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency, Edem Kofi Kpotosu, has emphasized the need for balanced development, stating that everyone should have access to the benefits of progress, likening it to “having a taste of the milk”. According to Kpotosu, the challenge lies in addressing individual needs while catering to communal requirements, often leaving some unmet.
The MP highlighted several achievements, including scholarships, distribution of laptops to Mawuli School, and the sod-cutting for a Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compound at Horsita, a collaborative effort with the Kekeli Foundation. Other initiatives include distributing chopboxes to students and road construction projects.
Kpotosu’s office also distributed 3,359 mathematical sets to all BECE students in 2025, ensuring every student had the necessary tools for the exams. Additionally, he provided lunch for teachers and invigilators throughout the exam sessions, promoting a conducive environment for students.
Kpotosu’s initiatives extend to supporting the Municipal Directorate of Education, donating track suits, and providing 5,000 exercise books to students, alleviating the financial burden on parents. He also supported 20 students transitioning to senior high school with trunks, chopboxes, and groceries.
The MP’s office donated 20 brand new laptops to Mawuli School and computers to various institutions, including Bankoe R.C. Girls, Akrofu Agorve Basic School, and Ziavi Lume Basic Schools. Furthermore, 138 students benefited from Scholarship Packages, promoting academic excellence.
In agriculture, Kpotosu’s office provided 1,500 cartons of weedicides, 10,000 cocoa seedlings, and 1,000 cartons of liquid fertilizer to rural farmers. A tricycle was also donated to the Ho Municipal Assembly to support the best farmer.
Other initiatives include apprenticeship training for 158 young men and women, mechanized boreholes drilled across communities for potable water, and employment opportunities for youth in security agencies.
Kpotosu assured constituents that he is working diligently to address development challenges, stating, “All the cobwebs will be removed,” and inviting residents to contribute to the development process. “Let’s have a tete-a-tete to see how best to improve the constituency,” he added.
Hon. Stephen Adom, MCE of Ho Central Constituency, pledged his support, stating, “I’m here for you. I assure you of my support”.
