
Manhyia South MP, Baffour Awuah, has turned himself in to the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following the High Court’s approval of a warrant for his arrest.
The MP’s surrender comes after days of legal proceedings surrounding the warrant. His decision to report to EOCO is seen as a move to cooperate with ongoing investigations.
According to reports by GHOne News and the EIB Network, the High Court granted EOCO permission to arrest the lawmaker as part of an ongoing probe. Details of the substantive case are yet to be fully disclosed by authorities.
Baffour Awuah, who represents Manhyia South Constituency, is expected to assist EOCO with investigations. His legal team was present when he turned himself in.
