Kpotosu Inspects Hodzoga–Aviefe Road Project Calls for Faster Completion Without Compromising Quality

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central has reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the timely completion of key infrastructure projects in the constituency following a working visit to the ongoing road construction project linking Hodzoga and Aviefe.

The visit formed part of the MP’s routine monitoring of development projects aimed at assessing progress, identifying implementation challenges, and ensuring that public infrastructure investments deliver the intended benefits to residents.

During the inspection, the MP held discussions with the contractor and the project implementation team to review the current stage of construction, evaluate challenges affecting the project, and examine the projected timeline for completion. He noted with satisfaction that work is actively progressing on the bridge component of the project, describing it as one of the most critical sections of the road infrastructure.

While expressing appreciation for the progress made so far, the MP stressed the need for contractors to accelerate construction without compromising engineering standards or quality. He observed that residents of Hodzoga and Hodzo-Aviefe have endured years of inconvenience due to the poor condition of the road and deserve a durable and safe transport network capable of serving the communities for many years.

According to him, the road project represents more than the construction of physical infrastructure. He said it is intended to improve the quality of life of residents by enhancing access to education and healthcare services, easing the movement of farmers and traders, creating opportunities for businesses, and stimulating local economic growth.

The MP reiterated his resolve to maintain close oversight of all major infrastructure developments across Ho Central to ensure that projects are executed according to approved standards and completed within the stipulated timeframe. He indicated that he would continue engaging contractors, government agencies, and other stakeholders to guarantee the successful implementation of projects being undertaken under the government’s “Big Push” Infrastructure Initiative.

He emphasised that sustainable development requires accountability, effective supervision, and collaboration among all stakeholders, adding that every public investment must produce tangible improvements in the lives of the people.

The MP also commended the contractor and construction workers for their efforts and encouraged them to maintain the pace of work while delivering a project that would stand the test of time and serve future generations.

He further expressed appreciation to the chiefs and residents of the Hodzo communities for their patience, cooperation, and continued support throughout the implementation of the project. He assured them that their concerns had been taken into account and reaffirmed that the development of the communities remains a priority.

The ongoing Hodzoga–Aviefe road project is expected to significantly improve transportation within the area, strengthen connectivity between communities, facilitate the movement of goods and services, and contribute to the socio-economic development of Ho Central when completed.
