
Former President John Dramani Mahama has arrived at the Accra International Airport to officially break ground for the construction of a new ultra-modern concourse linking Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. According to #GhanaNews, the project is expected to enhance the airport’s capacity and improve passenger experience.
The new concourse is part of the airport’s expansion project, aimed at increasing passenger handling capacity and providing modern facilities. The project is being undertaken by a Chinese construction firm and is expected to be completed within 18 months.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Mahama emphasized the importance of the project in enhancing Ghana’s aviation infrastructure. “This project is a significant step towards positioning Ghana as a major hub for air travel in West Africa,” he said.
The construction of the new concourse is expected to create employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth. The project is also expected to improve the overall travel experience for passengers, with modern amenities and facilities.
