Agbavitor Calls for Renewed Patriotism on Ghana’s 69th Independence

Comrade Mawutor Agbavitor, Volta Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has extended warm wishes to all Ghanaians as the nation celebrates 69 years of independence. “As we celebrate 69 years of freedom won through sacrifice and love, I extend my warmest wishes to all Ghanaians as we honour the journey of our nation and renew our commitment to its future,” he said.

Agbavitor quoted the words of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Ghana’s First President: “And now there is a new African in the world. That new African is ready to fight his own battles and show that the black man is capable of managing his own affairs.”

The Volta Regional Chairman emphasized the need for Ghanaians to take advantage of the congenial business climate in Ghana, under the leadership of His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, to contribute to national development. He urged citizens to be industrious, ingenious, and creative, and to take advantage of government flagship programs, especially the 24 Hour Economy, to create wealth through entrepreneurship.

Agbavitor stressed that the 69th Independence anniversary should rekindle a strong spirit of patriotism and nation-building. He called on all Ghanaians to work towards building a prosperous and united country.

The NDC official’s message is a call to action, urging citizens to reflect on the nation’s journey and renew their commitment to its future. As Ghana marks this significant milestone, the focus is on building a brighter future for all.
