Agyapong Pledges Unity in NPP

Kennedy Agyapong, a candidate in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries, has urged party members to put aside differences and work towards unity. Speaking at a campaign event, Agyapong acknowledged that ‘unpalatable’ words had been used during the contest but emphasized that they shouldn’t drive people away from the party.

According to 3News GH, Agyapong expressed hope that if he wins the election, he will be able to unite the NPP and lead the party to victory in the 2028 general elections. His statement has been welcomed by some party members who have called for unity and reconciliation.

Agyapong’s candidacy has generated significant interest, with many seeing him as a potential frontrunner. However, he faces stiff competition from other high-profile candidates, including Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and Dr. Bryan Acheampong.

The NPP primaries are being closely watched, with thousands of delegates nationwide voting to select a flagbearer. The outcome is expected to shape the party’s future and its chances in the general elections.

Agyapong’s pledge to unite the party has resonated with some delegates who are eager to see a united front heading into the general elections.

The NPP’s presidential primaries are a significant event in Ghana’s political landscape.
