New Judges Take Oath: Chief Justice Urges Integrity and Impartiality

Ghana’s judiciary has welcomed 52 new Circuit Court judges, sworn in by Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, who urged them to discharge their duties with integrity, competence, and independence. The appointment marks a significant milestone in the careers of the new judges, comprising 40 magistrates and 12 lawyers.
According to reports, the Chief Justice emphasized that the power vested in them is delegated by the people through the Constitution and must be exercised judiciously and strictly in accordance with the law.
