Dr Stanley Glate Files Volta NDC Regional Secretary Nomination

Dr. Stanley Nelvis Glate has successfully filed his nomination to contest for the position of Volta Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), marking a significant step in his bid to lead the party’s regional administrative structure. The forms were received by Mr. Akpe Aflakpui, Deputy Volta Regional Director of Elections and IT Directorate, on behalf of the National Chairman Johnson Asiedu-Nketia.

Mr. Aflakpui admonished Dr. Glate to conduct his campaign decorously in order to engender unity and cohesion even after the elections. He stressed that the NDC in Volta Region remains one family and all aspirants must prioritize party unity over personal ambitions, ensuring that internal contests strengthen rather than divide the party ahead of the 2028 general elections.

Dr. Glate in return pledged his cooperation with the process and asked that the entire electioneering process be free and fair without any biases so as to safeguard the integrity of the process. In a message to the NDC family in the Volta Region, he expressed his pleasure at completing the nomination process and called for a renewed collective commitment to building a stronger, more responsive and results-oriented regional party structure.

His candidacy is anchored in a vision of competent administration, accountability, effective engagement and grassroots-centred leadership, with a commitment to ensuring that every constituency receives attention and has a meaningful voice in the party’s regional affairs. Under the campaign message, “A Fresh Drive for Volta NDC,” Dr. Glate is advocating a Regional Secretariat that goes beyond routine administration to become an active, accessible and dependable institution.

He believes that strengthening the party requires collective effort, purposeful leadership and a renewed focus on the structures that connect the regional leadership to the grassroots. According to his vision, the Regional Secretariat must be a place where constituency concerns are heard, party members are engaged, differences are addressed constructively and collective decisions are translated into meaningful action.

His message places particular emphasis on building a regional structure that listens, engages, unites and works tirelessly for every constituency, ensuring that the Volta NDC remains strong, united and ready to deliver victory in 2028 under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
