John Boadu Leads New NPP Executives Elected Baba Yara


According to the Electoral Commission declaration, former General Secretary John Boadu staged a comeback as National Chairman with 2,888 votes, beating Boakye Agyarko and former Chairman Paul Afoko. Justin Frimpong Kodua was retained as General Secretary with 4,486 votes, recording the highest votes among all contestants.
For the other positions, Mavis Hawa Koomson claimed National Women’s Organiser with 783 votes, Abanga Fuseini Yakubu secured National Youth Organiser with 1,550 votes, Mohammed Ali Suraj won National Nasara Organiser with 372 votes, and Dennis Edward Miracles Aboagye was returned unopposed as National Communications Director. The party described the process as a demonstration of its democratic credentials.
Boadu stressed that there must be no winners and losers, only one NPP united around one purpose, and promised to work closely with flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, regional and constituency executives, MPs and voluntary groups. He added that political victory is never an entitlement and must be earned through service, organisation and the trust of Ghanaians, declaring that JB and his executives are back and victory is assured in 2028.
