My Plans Are For All Volta Women – Edna Abri

Aspiring Volta Regional Women Organizer, Edna Abri, has called on women delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to come out in their numbers and vote for her in the upcoming regional elections. She said her vision is inclusive and centered on empowering every woman in the region.

Speaking after her vetting in Ho, Ms. Abri emphasized that her plans are not for a selected few but for all Volta women. “My plans are not for a few women, my plans are for all Volta women,” she declared. “From the branch to the region, every woman will feel the impact of my leadership.”

Ms. Abri, who is contesting for the Volta Regional Women Organizer position, said the Women’s Wing needs a leader who understands the challenges of women at the grassroots and is ready to provide solutions. She promised to introduce programmes that will promote welfare, economic empowerment and active political participation of women.

“I am encouraging all women to come out and vote for me,” she appealed. “Vote for experience, vote for inclusion, vote for a Women’s Wing that works for all of us.” She noted that unity and hard work will be her guiding principles if elected.

According to Ms. Abri, her track record in mobilizing women and her commitment to the NDC make her the best candidate for the position. She urged delegates to consider competence and dedication over any other consideration as the party prepares for the 2028 general elections.

“This is our time as women to rise and be counted. Come out and vote for me, and together we will build a stronger, more vibrant Women’s Wing for victory,” she added. The Volta Regional elections are slated for November 14-15, 2026.
