NPP Orders Voter ID For 9 National Officers Election
The New Patriotic Party has directed all delegates to present a Voter ID card, Ghana Card or NPP party card for Electoral Commission verification before voting in the party’s national officers elections scheduled for October 3, 2026.
The party says voting will be conducted at 31 polling stations across the designated venue for the election of nine national officers who will steer the affairs of the party. Only delegates who successfully pass the verification process will be allowed to cast their ballot.
The directive, according to the party leadership, is to ensure credibility and prevent impersonation during the high stakes national officers elections. Delegates without any of the three approved cards will not be permitted to vote at the 31 polling stations.
The NPP national officers elections on October 3, 2026 will elect nine executives to lead the party into the next political cycle. The Electoral Commission will supervise the voting process at all 31 polling stations to guarantee transparency.
Security and logistics have been heightened ahead of the polls as thousands of delegates are expected to converge to elect the new national officers under strict ID verification rules.
