Police Officer Injured As CR-V GE-8777-20 Hits Motorcycle At East Legon
A young man driving a Honda CR-V with registration number GE-8777-20 has reportedly knocked down a police officer on a motorcycle at East Legon in Accra, leaving the officer with serious knee injuries.
The incident occurred at East Legon when the CR-V collided with the police motorcycle, according to eyewitnesses at the scene. The impact threw the officer off the motorcycle and caused severe trauma to his knee, prompting immediate calls for help from bystanders.
Witnesses say the driver of the CR-V with registration GE-8777-20 was moving at high speed before hitting the officer. The police motorcycle was left badly damaged on the road while the injured officer struggled with pain from the knee injury.
The officer was quickly assisted by residents and other motorists who rushed him for medical attention. Police are expected to take over the case and investigate the circumstances leading to the East Legon crash involving vehicle number GE-8777-20.
