NDC 2026 Regional Executive Nominations Open October 6

The National Democratic Congress will open nominations for its 2026 Regional Executive Elections on Tuesday October 6 2026 across Ghana. The exercise forms part of the party electoral timetable ahead of internal contests. Aspirants must be members in good standing and pay fees through designated online platforms.
According to the party, the process will be supervised by the National Executive Committee in line with NDC constitution and electoral guidelines. Regional secretariats are expected to publish specific timelines for vetting and display of delegates list. The party says only financial cards holders will be cleared to contest.
NDC regional elections are crucial for building grassroots structures ahead of the 2028 general elections. Positions include Regional Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Organizer, Treasurer, Communications Officer and Youth and Women wings. Winners will steer party operations in all 16 regions.
Aspirants are required to pay nomination and filing fees via the party approved online payment platforms. The party has warned against cash payments to individuals. Filing is expected to close after vetting with strict adherence to eligibility rules.
Peace FM first reported the timetable as NDC intensifies reorganization. The National Democratic Congress has urged members to maintain decorum and unity during the contest. Further details on fees and code of conduct will be announced by regional election directorates.
