Kpotosu Donates to the UHAS Community to Enhance Safety

The Member of Parliament for Ho Central constituency, Hon. Edem Kofi Kpotosu, has donated 10 street lights to the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) and its surrounding communities as part of efforts to improve security and support development in the municipality.

Announcing the donation in a social media post, the lawmaker said adequate street lighting is essential as Ho Central continues to grow and expand, stressing that well-lit communities contribute to safety, academic excellence and overall development.

“As Ho Central continues to develop and expand, it is essential that our communities remain clear, safe and visible both day and night,” he stated, adding that proper illumination is key to ensuring a secure environment for residents and students.

According to Hon. Kpotosu, the donation reflects his personal commitment to supporting the UHAS community by creating a safer and more conducive environment for students, staff and residents.

He noted that the installation of the street lights will enable people to move around safely at night while providing students with a more comfortable environment for their academic activities.

“A brighter community is a stronger community,” the MP remarked, expressing optimism that the initiative would contribute to the continued development of Ho Central.

He also commended the UHAS community and reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives that improve the quality of life for residents.

The donation forms part of ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and public safety within the Ho Central Constituency.

Individuals however demand stronger policies and performance other than streetlights asserting that Ghana has grown beyond streetlight politics.
