Mawunyo Agbe Is Ho Central NDC Chairman

Mawunyo Agbe has emerged victorious in the just-concluded Ho Central Constituency elections of the National Democratic Congress held today at OLA Senior High School in Ho, defeating two challengers to claim the coveted position amid jubilant scenes from his supporters.

The poll, conducted under tight security and strict electoral guidelines, drew a massive turnout of delegates, reflecting the enduring vibrancy of internal democracy within the constituency and the high stakes attached to leadership in the party’s Volta stronghold.

According to the official results announced at the collation centre, “Mawunyo Agbe has won,” securing the first position, while Stephen Sena Ofori placed second and Richard Ahiafor placed third, a verdict that was received with applause and chants of unity by the assembled delegates.

That outcome reinforces the confidence reposed in Agbe by the grassroots, whose campaign resonated with themes of renewal, inclusivity, and grassroots mobilization at a time when the constituency is positioning itself for stronger coordination ahead of regional elections and the broader national contest.

The peaceful conduct of the exercise at OLA Senior High School further burnishes the credentials of the constituency as a model of disciplined internal competition, with electoral officials commending delegates for decorum and aspirants for maturity throughout the process.

Ultimately, Agbe’s triumph places on him the responsibility to galvanize the rank and file, reconcile all factions, and project a united front that will invigorate party structures and advance the collective aspiration of retaining and expanding the NDC’s dominance in Ho Central.
