The gathering signaled a decisive step toward institutionalizing youth civic engagement nationwide.

According to the Youth Impact Parliament, the session convened the Joint Majority and Minority Caucuses from both the Senate and Parliament at the Ho Technical University SRC JCR to scrutinize the YIP Campus Club Bill. The proposed legislation seeks to streamline the governance, operations, and accountability frameworks of Campus Clubs across tertiary institutions. Delegates engaged in robust debate on provisions governing membership, programming, and oversight.

Kpotosu expressed profound admiration for the caliber of discourse, noting that participants exhibited a sophisticated grasp of legislative drafting and parliamentary procedure. According to the Office of Richmond Edem Kofi Kpotosu, he characterized the exercise as evidence that the nation’s youth are equipped to inherit the mantle of leadership. He emphasized that fostering such platforms is imperative for cultivating democratic ethos and patriotic consciousness among emerging leaders.

According to the Youth Impact Movement, the initiative was conceived to bridge the chasm between academic theory and civic praxis by immersing students in simulated governance structures. The Movement stated that the Bill, once operationalized, will standardize best practices for club management and amplify grassroots participation in policy formulation. Organizers underscored that the model nurtures critical thinking, consensus-building, and public service orientation.

The session reinforces a growing recognition that sustainable nation-building demands intentional investment in youth leadership architecture. Kpotosu urged stakeholders to expand opportunities that harness youthful ingenuity, asserting that the future belongs to those prepared to lead boldly and serve with dedication.
