Volta Minister Pays Tribute to Late Matse Chief

The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu, has paid a condolence visit to the Matse-Dzobi Traditional Council following the passing of the Paramount Chief, HRM Togbega Osei Tutu VI. The delegation, which included the Municipal Chief Executive for Ho Central, Hon. Stephen Adom, presented assorted gift items to the chiefs and people of the area as a gesture of sympathy and solidarity.

Hon. Gunu expressed condolences to the traditional council, commending the people for handling the transition process with dignity and peace, avoiding chieftaincy disputes. He noted that the unity displayed by the people of Matse-Dzobi serves as an exemplary model for other traditional areas.

The Minister’s visit underscores the government’s recognition of the Paramount Chief’s contributions to the region. The late chief’s legacy is expected to be celebrated during his burial ceremony scheduled for this Saturday.

Hon. Gunu’s condolences are also extended on behalf of President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC party, highlighting the government’s commitment to supporting traditional authorities.
