NDC Executives Slam NHIS Appointments

Tema Central NDC executives, led by Constituency Chairman Benjamin Ims Djakumah, have locked up the NHIS office in protest over alleged exclusion from appointments. The executives claim recent appointments to the NHIS and other public institutions were made without consultation, overlooking qualified party members.
According to JoyNews, the protest follows mounting dissatisfaction among NDC members in Tema Central. The executives are demanding explanations for their exclusion and calling for immediate action to address their concerns.
The protest has disrupted services at the NHIS office, leaving many beneficiaries and staff members stranded. The NDC executives vow to continue their protest until their demands are met.
“This is a clear case of marginalization and disregard for the party’s interests,” said a spokesperson for the NDC executives. “We will not stand idly by while our people are being sidelined.”
The NHIS office in Tema Central serves thousands of beneficiaries, and the protest has raised concerns about the impact on healthcare services. The authorities have been urged to intervene and resolve the issue peacefully.
The incident highlights ongoing power struggles within Ghana’s political landscape, with allegations of exclusion and marginalization ramping up tensions.
