Gas Supply Shutdown Looms as GRIDCo Plans Maintenance

 

 

The Ghana Grid Company Limited (GRIDCo) and Ghana National Gas Company have announced a planned shutdown of the Atuabo Gas Processing Plant, effective immediately, to facilitate critical system restoration works. According to #CitiNewsroom, the shutdown is expected to impact gas supply to power plants and other consumers.

 

The companies have assured stakeholders that efforts are being made to minimize disruptions, with alternative arrangements being explored to ensure a steady supply of gas. The Ghana National Gas Company has apologized for any inconvenience the shutdown may cause.

 

GRIDCo and Ghana National Gas Company emphasized that the maintenance works are crucial to ensuring the reliability and efficiency of the gas processing plant. “We are committed to completing the works as quickly as possible to restore normal operations,” a spokesperson stated.
