Mahama Launches Nationwide ‘Resetting Ghana Tour’

Former President John Dramani Mahama is set to embark on a nationwide tour starting March 18, aimed at inspecting ongoing government projects and assessing their progress. According to #CitiNewsroom, the tour, dubbed the “Resetting Ghana Tour”, seeks to connect the government with citizens and engage grassroots communities.
The tour will kick off in the Bono Region, where President Mahama will be joined by regional ministers, local government officials, and other stakeholders. Minister of Communications Felix Kwakye Ofosu emphasized that the exercise will provide a hands-on opportunity for the President to evaluate project sites nationwide.
President Mahama believes that ministers should not only brief from the presidency, hence his decision to lead the ‘Resetting Ghana Project’. The initiative is designed to bring the government closer to citizens, engage grassroots communities, and provide updates on national policies and development programs.
The nationwide exercise will involve ministers, regional officials, district chief executives, and local leaders, who will tour project sites and interact with opinion leaders, chiefs, and influential community stakeholders. Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang and other senior government officials will also participate in the tour.
As part of the tour, President Mahama is scheduled to cut the sod for the first Farmer Services Centre in Afram Plains on March 21. The centre is one of 70 planned for construction this year.
