Controversy: Abel Damina’s Sermon on Holy Communion

Abol Damina, founder of the New Creation Church, has sparked debate with his latest sermon, “Holy Communion Is a Demonstration of Unbelief!” Damina argues that the practice of Holy Communion is an act of unbelief that prevents believers from truly seeing Jesus, instead focusing on physical elements like bread and wine.

In his sermon, Damina emphasized that miracles resulting from such rituals are a result of God’s mercy, rather than the act itself. “God overlooks ignorance because He is merciful. Result is not a justification for truth,” he stated, urging believers to focus on true faith rather than rituals.

Damina’s comments have drawn criticism, with some labeling his views as divisive. Previously, he has faced backlash for calling Catholics “Bible illiterates” and criticizing their practice of Holy Communion ¹.

The pastor’s stance has sparked a wider conversation about the role of rituals in faith. While some support his views, others argue that Damina’s approach may alienate those seeking spiritual guidance.

Damina’s teachings are available through various platforms, including his Telegram channel, where he shares audio preachings and updates on his ministry.
