Ebo Noah’s Mother Pleads for Pardon

The mother of Ebo Noah, the self-styled prophet who made headlines with a failed doomsday prophecy, has sparked a heated online debate after a video of her pleading for pardon for her son went viral. In the emotional appeal, she knelt and called on influential Ghanaians, including President John Dramani Mahama, former President Nana Akufo-Addo, and the Inspector General of Police, to show mercy to her son.

According to YEN News, the mother maintained that Ebo Noah is sane but was influenced by online pressure, stating, “He’s not crazy, he was only influenced by pressure online to also earn something for himself.” She emphasized that her son has regretted his actions and is remorseful.

The plea has divided opinions on social media, with some calling for leniency and others demanding accountability. One user tweeted, “If they pardon him, then they need to pardon Agradaa too. Laws don’t work that way,” referencing another controversial figure, Nana Agradaa, who was jailed for 15 years.

Ebo Noah was arrested on December 31, 2025, and remanded into police custody for two weeks after his appearance at the Adenta Circuit Court. He is facing charges of false communication, deliberately misleading the public, and publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic.

The court has directed that Ebo Noah undergo a psychiatric evaluation at Pantang Psychiatric Hospital before his next hearing on January 15, 2026.
